The following LandIS Soilscapes Viewer (free) produces summary soils information for a specific location, based upon the NSRI “Soilscapes” soil thematic dataset
Review the soil in your area - simply put in a postcode (try one for Brighton), zoom out & pan so that the whole county of East Sussex is in view. Then see the relevant soil types for the entire county
Note:
We are told that a suitable soil type for LandFill/Raise is clay (impermeable) whereas chalk (i.e. Beddingham) is unsuitable because it lets water filter through
